Resincoat Water Based Floor & Wall Paint is used to seal and coat home garages or industrial floors at a more economical cost than our high performance coatings. The paint will provide an attractive, decorative, matt finish. The water based formula makes it damp tolerant as standard, as well as giving huge coverage rates. Our water based formula is a great option for a concrete floor paint to seal and decorate basements in homes or storage areas.
This paint adheres well to a range of surfaces including concrete, grano, metals and asphalts. Please contact us if you have an enquiry regarding alternative substrate types.
Resincoat Water Based Floor Paint is supplied as a two-part epoxy unit. This means there is a Part A & Part B that require mixing together before use. The key to successful application of this coating is preparation. Ensure the area is clean and free of dust or potential contamination.
You may wish to use Resincoat Etch & Clean to open up the surface and create a 'key' for the paint to bond to.
Once you have prepared your area and you're ready to paint, mix the two units together using a mixing paddle attached to a drill for 1-2 minutes until the mixture becomes homogenous.
Once mixed, simply roll out the coating using an epoxy-suitable roller. Note the estimated coverage rate for the product and try to work to that to achieve the correct thickness. Once 'activated' or mixed the product has a working life of around 40 minutes before it will become unworkable as it starts to harden.
Two coats are typically recommended to ensure a smooth and even finish. For further advice we're available via the live chat on our website or on the phone from pre-purchase to long after you've applied the paint.
