Our premier High Build Epoxy Anti-Slip Floor Paint is specifically formulated to meet and in many cases exceed guidelines set about by the Health and Safety Executive in the UK. Those guidelines state that floors should meet the following slip resistance ratings under both WET and DRY conditions when tested using Cooper pendulum testing equipment:
|Min slip resistance value||34-51|
Below are Resincoat's HB Epoxy Anti-Slip Floor Paint test results under both wet and dry conditions:
|Product||Dry Result||Wet Result|
|Resincoat Anti-Slip Fine||58||48|
|Resincoat Anti-Slip Medium||66||52|
|Resincoat Anti-Slip Coarse||70||55|
When you choose a Resincoat High Build Floor Paint you're choosing a product that has been thoroughly tested and revised in our lab to ensure the highest quality. The formula we have developed has become widely popular in the UK due to it's thickness and durability. Many other floor paints on the market are water based or cut with solvents to extend their coverage, this is bad practice and causes paint to flake or wear after a few months. With Resincoat High Build Epoxy floor paint you're guaranteed a quality finish that will last.
For Fine, Medium & Coarse grades:
Mix parts A & B together by using a paddle attachment to an electric drill. Part C, your anti-slip additive, will be added later. Continue to mix until a uniform colour is achieved and the curing agent is fully dispersed throughout the mixture. Once mixed and therefore chemically activated, the product will have a pot life of around 20 minutes at 20°C. Begin to roll out the coating in an even, consistent method and scatter in Part C as you go. Be sure to back-roll with the wet roller as your sand is scattered to fully encapsulate it inside the epoxy resin formula. Once dried you may wish to add a top-coat using the same method. If coating a larger area, you may wish to get the help of a second pair of hands. If you are using a second coat, coat 2 should be applied after a minimum of 14 hours and before a maximum of 24 hours.
For best results you should also consider using a primer. We recommend:
Do not split the product. Taking smaller quantities from each tin, even if measured correctly, may cause issues with activating. The resin formula is chemically manufactured to work efficiently and effectively based on the exact amounts supplied in full tins for parts A & B.
